Baby showers are lots of fun to plan and host. Some of the best fun that you can have when planning your shower is planning the food and drinks that you are going to make for your guests. There are so many different ideas out there. We are going to give you a few recipes for you to make that are easy on the budget but tastes great!

Baby shower themed punch:

You might have a theme that you wish to incorporate into your baby shower. A lot of people like to show the sex of the baby through the color theme. These punch recipes will help you bring your colors into your drink ideas as well.

Keep in mind that the quantities of these drinks will depend on the amount of people you are planning to have at your party. Most of these drinks are equal parts for all the ingredients.

Pink lemonade

You will need:

  • Lemonade
  • Cranberry or pink grape fruit juice
  • Ice
  • Mint to garnish

How it’s made:

  1. Place ice in your serving jug
  2. Pour your fruit juice into the jug.
  3. Pour your lemonade in.
  4. Stir and serve with fresh mint in the jug or in the glass.

Virgin mojito

You will need:

  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Simple syrup
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Sparkling water or lemonade
  • Ice

How it’s made:

  1. Place mint leaves and lime in a glass. You need to muddle the leaves to get the flavour out of them.
  2. Add a spoon of simple syrup
  3. Place ice in the glass
  4. Top up the glass with your sparking water or lemonade.
  5. Garnish with a lemon wedge or mint.

This is a refreshing drink that you can have at your baby shower. If you do not want to make for everyone individually, all you need to do is get yourself a bucket and make it in there. Once made, pour the mojito into a nice jar, jug or punch bowl and serve.

Margarita for the win!

Who doesn’t love a Margarita? This is a cool drink that you can make and depending on the weather, you can even make them into a little slush for your guests! This recipe makes 4 drinks so adjust according to your number of guests.

You will need:

  • ½ cup lime juice
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • ¼ cup fine sugar
  • Crushed ice
  • Club soda
  • Lime wedges to garnish

How it’s made:

  1. Combine the lime juice, lemon juice and sugar. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. If you want to make frozen ones, then place this all in the blender with some ice and blend until a slushy consistency.
  2. Swipe your glass with a lime wedge and dip the edges into some salt. This might seem time consuming but will give your guests the full margarita experience.
  3. Fill each glass with the lemon and lime mix. If you did not blend together, add ice to your glass before pouring in the mix.
  4. Top the glasses up with your club soda and garnish.

Jungle juice

Jungle juice is one of the easiest party punches you will ever make in your whole life! Grab yourself a bucket because this is a chilled drink!

You will need:

  • Fresh fruit of your choice
  • Lemonade
  • Fruit punch juice
  • Ice

How it’s made:

  1. Add lots of ice to your punch bowl or bucket.
  2. Place your fresh fruit in the bowl.
  3. Add your fruit punch juice.
  4. Top up with lemonade and serve.

It is that simple!

Blueberry daiquiri

Daiquiris can be made into any flavour that you want really. Go and have a look as to what fresh fruit is available at the moment and what daiquiri mix flavours you can find in stores. This will help you determine which blend to make. The latest is a blueberry and basil flavoured daiquiri.

You will need:

  • Fresh blueberries
  • Basil
  • Daiquiri premix
  • Ice
  • Sparking water or lemonade

How it’s made:

  1. Muddle your blueberries and basil together.
  2. Add in your premix.
  3. Place ice into your punch bowl.
  4. Top up the punch bowl with sparkling water or lemonade if you want it to be a bit sweeter and serve.

As you can see the drink ideas that we have given you today are really simple and easy to make. They delicious and can all be made in individual glasses or you can make them as a big punch for everyone to grab as and when they want.
